George Angelomatis

George is a seasoned veteran to the fight game. He founded the Astoria Boxing Club alongside Jack Duke in 1977. Since then, George has been in the gym every possible hour, donating his time to help young fighters get started. For the past 32 years, George has worked tirelessly to help boxers reach their full potential.

Dave Schuck, Head Coach

David started boxing competitively in 1986 and has been coaching teams and amateur and professional boxers for over ten years.  He has established a boxing gym in Washington, USA as well as volunteered his expertise and time at the Action Boxing Club, North Burnaby Boxing Club and the Astoria Fraser Arms Boxing Club.  In 2004 he began working with sports teams and personal clients to improve their conditioning and level of fitness.  His certificates include; Level 3 USA Boxing certificate, Level 2 Canadian Amateur Boxing Association certificate as well as his Professional Boxing Coach certificate.

Dave Robinson, Assistant Coach
Dave retired this year with over 100 amateur fights.  Ready to give back to his fellow athletes Dave has taken on the roll of assistant coach. Dave has been boxing out of Astoria Fraser Arms since his return to BC in 2004.  
Meghan O’Connell, Coach

Meghan coaches on Friday evenings and enjoys helping anyone who is willing to put in the work necessary to achieve their goals.

She is a NCCP registered Level One coach, and Boxing Canada registered coach.  She is also BCRPA registered Fitness Leader, weight room instructor.
She holds a combined boxing/muay thai record of 11/7, in addition to 2 exhibitions and was the 2003 Ringside national champion, and the 2004 B.C. champion and national bronze medallist.

Jason Noel, Conditioning CoachJason is a natural born athlete. Focusing primarily on the strength and conditioning aspects of the competitive team, he has seen it all in every sport, and brings his well-rounded fitness knowledge to the table.
