About Astoria
The Astoria Boxing Club is one of the oldest boxing club in BC, established in 1966. Thought out its years in existence the club has produced 12 Canadian champions (five of which held the title the same year), and 2 Olympians including ’84 Bronze Medalist Dale Walters. To this day the club has a big emphasis on commitment to the sport, and focusing on helping youth reach their full potential.
The training at Astoria Boxing is the best offered in BC. Members are not only taught to compete, they also learn the value of health and fitness, self-confidence, team support, and accomplishment. Members are guided through some of the most advanced training methods and taught how to properly box and defend themselves. Training also includes boxing drills, cross training drills, sparing (for those who are competing), proper weight training, and calisthetics.
All of our coaches are fully certified and have years of experience both coaching and competing in Boxing.
Astoria Boxing does not limit its activities to the competitive athlete, but also provides its services to people and groups seeking a disciplined conditioning environment. Both men and women, groups and teams can have the privilege of training for fitness without need to compete.
